FAQs
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
ABOUT THE PRODUCTS
What is CBD, and where does it come from?
CBD (cannabidiol) is a naturally occurring compound found in the hemp plant, a variety of cannabis sativa. Unlike THC, CBD is non-psychoactive; it does not produce a “high.” It interacts with the body’s endocannabinoid system, which plays a role in regulating sleep, mood, and inflammation. All Fusion CBD products are derived from premium American-grown industrial hemp containing less than 0.3% THC, fully compliant with the 2018 Farm Bill.
What is the difference between full-spectrum, broad-spectrum, and isolate CBD?
Full-spectrum CBD contains all the naturally occurring cannabinoids from the hemp plant, including trace amounts of THC (up to 0.3%). Multiple cannabinoids working together may produce what is called the “entourage effect,” potentially enhancing results.
Broad-spectrum CBD has had the THC removed while retaining other beneficial cannabinoids like CBG, CBN, and terpenes. It offers many of the entourage effect benefits without THC, ideal for those who want to avoid THC but still benefit from multiple cannabinoids.
CBD isolate is the purest form, 99%+ pure cannabidiol with all other compounds removed. It contains zero THC and is best for those with strict drug testing requirements or sensitivities to other cannabinoids.
Fusion offers all three types. Check each product page to confirm which type is used.
What is the difference between CBD and Delta-8 / Delta-9?
CBD (cannabidiol) is non-psychoactive. It does not produce a high and is not a form of THC.
Delta-8 and Delta-9 are both forms of THC, the psychoactive compound in cannabis. Delta-9 is the traditional, most well-known form of THC. Delta-8 is a milder, hemp-derived variant that produces a less intense psychoactive effect.
Under federal law, hemp-derived Delta-9 products are legal as long as they contain no more than 0.3% THC by dry weight. Delta-8 exists in a more complex legal landscape; some states have restricted or banned it entirely.
Fusion clearly separates its CBD products from its Delta-8 and Delta-9 products on the site, with appropriate disclaimers and age restrictions on all Delta product pages.

Are Fusion CBD products vegan and gluten-free?
Yes. All Fusion CBD products are vegan-friendly and gluten-free. They are also non-GMO and made with natural flavors and sweeteners. Full ingredient details are listed on each product page.
Are your products non-GMO?
Yes. All Fusion CBD products are made with non-GMO hemp extract. Our hemp is grown without synthetic pesticides or herbicides and processed in FDA-registered, GMP-certified facilities in the USA.
Where is your hemp sourced from?
All of Fusion’s hemp is grown in the United States. We partner exclusively with FDA-registered and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) certified industrial hemp facilities that meet strict quality and purity standards. We do not source hemp from overseas suppliers.
Are your products made in the USA?
Yes. Fusion CBD products are formulated and manufactured in the USA using American-grown premium hemp. Our production facilities are FDA-registered and GMP-certified, ensuring consistent quality and safety across every product batch.
SAFETY
Is CBD safe to use daily?
Yes, for most healthy adults, CBD is considered safe for daily use. The World Health Organization has stated that CBD exhibits no potential for abuse or dependence and has a favorable safety profile. Many of our customers and sponsored athletes use Fusion CBD products every day as part of their wellness routines. As with any supplement, we recommend consulting your doctor before starting daily use, especially if you have underlying health conditions or take prescription medications.
Can I take CBD if I am pregnant or breastfeeding?
No. We do not recommend using CBD products if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. The FDA has advised against using CBD during pregnancy or while nursing due to insufficient research on the effects on developing babies. Please consult your OB-GYN or healthcare provider before using any CBD products during this period.
Does CBD interact with medications?
CBD can interact with certain medications, particularly those that are metabolized by the liver enzyme CYP450. This includes some blood thinners, anti-epileptic drugs, and certain antidepressants. If you are taking prescription medication, please consult your doctor or pharmacist before using CBD products. This is not specific to Fusion; it applies to all CBD supplements.
Are there any side effects of CBD?
CBD is well-tolerated by most people. In some individuals, especially at higher doses, mild side effects may include dry mouth, slight drowsiness, mild digestive discomfort, or changes in appetite. These effects are typically mild and temporary. Starting with a low dose and increasing gradually significantly reduces the likelihood of unwanted effects.
Is CBD safe for seniors?
CBD is generally considered safe for older adults. Many seniors use CBD for joint discomfort, sleep support, and general wellness. However, older adults are more likely to be taking multiple medications, so it is especially important to consult a doctor before starting CBD to check for potential interactions. Start with a low dose and increase slowly.
Is CBD safe for teenagers?
We do not recommend CBD products for anyone under 18 without guidance from a pediatrician. While CBD is not psychoactive, the long-term effects of CBD on developing bodies and brains are not yet fully studied. All purchases from Fusion CBD require buyers to confirm they are 18 or older. Delta-8 and Delta-9 products require buyers to be 21+.
DRUG TESTING
Will CBD show up on a drug test?
Pure CBD itself is not what standard drug tests screen for; they test for THC (delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol), not cannabidiol. A CBD isolate product with zero THC will not cause a positive drug test result.
However, full-spectrum CBD products contain trace amounts of THC (up to 0.3% legally). With regular, high-dose use of full-spectrum products, there is a small chance that THC metabolites could accumulate in your system and trigger a positive result on a sensitive drug test.
If you are subject to drug testing, we strongly recommend:
- Using our broad-spectrum or isolate-based products, which contain zero THC
- Checking the COA (lab results) for each product to confirm the THC content
- Consulting your employer or testing provider before use
Fusion does not accept liability for positive drug test results. All CBD and hemp product use is at the customer’s own discretion.
Will Delta-8 or Delta-9 products cause me to fail a drug test?
Yes, very likely. Delta-8 and Delta-9 are both forms of THC. Standard drug tests screen for THC metabolites, and use of Delta-8 or Delta-9 products will very likely result in a positive test result. If you are subject to any form of workplace, athletic, or legal drug testing, do not use Delta-8 or Delta-9 products.
Is CBD banned in professional sports?
No. CBD was removed from the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) prohibited substances list in 2018. The US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) also removed CBD from its banned list in 2019. CBD itself is permitted in competition for professional athletes under both WADA and USADA rules.
Important note: while CBD is permitted, THC remains restricted in competition under WADA rules. Athletes competing under WADA authority should use only zero-THC (isolate or broad spectrum) CBD products and verify with a current, dated COA before use. Rules vary by sport and governing body; always verify with your specific organization.
Can UFC and MMA fighters use CBD?
Yes. In 2019, USADA removed CBD from its list of prohibited substances. Cannabis itself was removed from the USADA in-competition banned list in 2021. Many of Fusion’s sponsored UFC and BKFC fighters, including Ariane Lipski, Edson Barboza, and Luis “Baboon” Palomino, use Fusion CBD products as part of their training and recovery routines openly and legally.
We recommend fighters use only broad-spectrum or isolate CBD products (confirmed zero THC by COA) to eliminate any risk, and always check the current USADA and UFC Anti-Doping Program policies before competition.
I have a workplace drug test coming up. Should I stop taking CBD?
If your workplace tests for THC and you are using a full-spectrum CBD product, we recommend stopping use at least 2–4 weeks before the test to allow any trace THC to clear your system. If you are using a broad-spectrum or isolate product with confirmed zero THC (check the COA), the risk is significantly lower, but we still recommend erring on the side of caution.
When in doubt, contact your employer or the testing company to clarify exactly what substances are tested for. Fusion does not accept responsibility for positive drug test results. Always verify product THC content via the COA before use.
LAB TESTING & QUALITY
Are Fusion CBD products third-party tested?
Yes, every Fusion CBD product is independently tested by a third-party laboratory using HPLC (High Performance Liquid Chromatography) analysis. This verifies the cannabinoid content, confirms potency matches label claims, and ensures THC levels are within legal limits. We only work with FDA-registered, GMP-certified hemp processing facilities. Third-party testing means the lab has no financial relationship with Fusion; results are unbiased and accurate.
Where can I view the lab results for Fusion products?
The Certificate of Analysis (COA) for each product is available directly on its product page on our website. Look for the “Lab Results” or “View COA” link on the product page. If you cannot find a COA for a specific product, contact us at sales@fusioncbdproducts.com, and we will provide it directly.
What does “broad spectrum” mean? Does it contain any THC?
Broad-spectrum CBD contains multiple cannabinoids naturally found in hemp, including CBG, CBN, terpenes, and flavonoids, but has had the THC specifically removed during processing. A properly produced broad-spectrum product should test at 0.00% THC on its COA. This means you get the benefits of multiple hemp compounds working together (the entourage effect) without any THC present. Always verify THC content on the product’s COA before use.
How do I know your products contain the CBD amount listed on the label?
Every Fusion product undergoes third-party lab testing via HPLC analysis, which directly measures the milligrams of CBD and other cannabinoids present in each product. The COA for each product shows both the labeled claim and the actual tested result. If these numbers match, which ours do, you can trust what is on the label. This is a critical distinction in the CBD industry, where mislabeling is unfortunately common. We make our COAs publicly available on every product page so you can verify this yourself.

DOSING & USAGE
How much CBD should I take as a beginner?
There is no single universal CBD dose; the right amount varies based on your body weight, metabolism, the reason you are taking CBD, and the product type. As a general starting point, most new users begin with 10–25mg of CBD per day. Start at the lower end and increase gradually by 5mg every 3–4 days until you find the dose that works best for you.
For topicals like our Intensive Relief Rub, apply directly to the affected area as needed; no systemic dosing applies.
If you are taking any prescription medications, consult your doctor before starting CBD, as it may interact with certain drugs.
How long does it take for CBD to work?
It depends on how you take it. Sublingual CBD oil (held under the tongue for 60–90 seconds before swallowing) typically takes effect within 15–45 minutes. CBD gummies and capsules are processed through the digestive system and generally take 45 minutes to 2 hours to take effect. CBD topicals applied directly to the skin typically produce localized effects within 15–30 minutes. Consistent daily use over 2–4 weeks often produces the most noticeable results, as CBD may build up in your system over time.
How often should I take CBD?
Most users take CBD once or twice daily. For general wellness and recovery support, a consistent daily routine tends to produce the best results. For targeted use, such as post-workout recovery or pre-sleep, take it 30–60 minutes before the desired effect. There is no evidence that the body builds a significant tolerance to CBD with regular use.
What is the difference between taking CBD oil, gummies, and capsules?
CBD oil (tincture) is absorbed sublingually (under the tongue), which means it enters the bloodstream faster than edibles. Effects are typically felt within 15–45 minutes. It also allows easy dose adjustment drop by drop.
CBD gummies and capsules are digested, which takes longer (45 minutes to 2 hours) but produces longer-lasting effects. They are convenient, pre-dosed, and easy to take on the go.
CBD topicals never enter the bloodstream and work locally on the area where they are applied, ideal for targeted muscle or joint discomfort.
The best format depends on your goals, lifestyle, and how quickly you need results.
What is the best Fusion CBD product for athletic recovery?
For muscle soreness and joint discomfort after training, our Intensive Relief Rub (available in 1000mg and 2000mg) is our most popular recovery product. Apply it directly to sore areas for fast-acting localized relief.
For full-body recovery and sleep support, our Sleep & Recovery Softgels (25mg CBD + 3mg CBN) support deeper sleep, which is when the body repairs most actively.
What is the best way to take CBD for sleep?
For sleep support, we recommend taking CBD 30–60 minutes before bed. Our Sleep & Recovery Softgels combine 25mg of broad-spectrum CBD with 3mg of CBN. CBN is a cannabinoid studied for its sedative properties. CBD oil tinctures taken sublingually also work well for sleep since they absorb faster than capsules. Avoid products with stimulating additions (like caffeine) before bed and opt for our standard or sleep-specific product lines.
